Connection over perfection!
Ashley (pronouns: she/her) is a Masters-level Social Worker with over 20 years of training and experience as a trauma-informed individual and family therapist, youth development professional, parent coach, postpartum doula/new parent educator, and 2nd-generation family herbalist. She specializes in helping parents and families navigate the challenges of parenthood with empathy, practical strategies, and a focus on connection over perfection. Her work also includes supporting families during the perinatal and postpartum period, with particular attention to maternal and family mental health. As both a professional and personal member of the homebirth community, Ashley brings a holistic perspective that honors and celebrates the many ways families choose to grow and thrive. She utilizes an attachment-based approach to help families foster secure connections while navigating the real-life demands of parenting—whether adjusting to life with a newborn, managing the exhaustion of the toddler years, or finding practical solutions that fit a family’s unique rhythm. Her work blends clinical expertise with a deep respect for each family’s strengths. Whether supporting parents in the early days of caregiving, addressing perinatal mental health concerns, or guiding families through child development, behavior challenges, discipline, and/or “big feelings” (both children’s and parents’), Ashley provides a safe, non-judgmental space where real change can happen. At the heart of her philosophy is the belief that parenting is not about perfection—it’s about connection. Ashley is also a parent to three young children, continuing to learn and grow alongside the families she supports. At home, she is passionate about holistic health and wellness, finding balance in chaos, exploring and cultivating adventure, and nurturing kids who are family-oriented (as opposed to peer-oriented) and kind. Her family loves traveling, enjoying delicious food, and long, hot baths.
